MM is the best in the series to me but I have to say I'm really torn on OoT vs SS, I think SS did more things well and really did surpass OoT for a lot of the things we missed in WW and TP, but it also had the most aggressive forced hand holding I've ever seen, it's honestly infuriating trying to replay it with the slow text speed constantly giving me obvious advice and camera zooming in on things because it thinks I'm too much of an idiot to figure it out myself. SS is like the most brilliant diamond covered with so much dirt that you can't see it shine, where OoT is a less impressive gem but is for the most part clean...I think I would've said SS immediately after having beaten it but already it's proving to have much less shelf life, probably have to go with OoT here

I never thought a wii game would frustrate me this much in wasted potential and the controls wouldn't be the main culprit...

No Zelda game will ever surpass OoT.

I'll accept that too. OoT and MM are both unbeatable.

But how is IGN counting these votes? By the number of views or the number of clicks? Seems like it'd be really easy to vote stuff in this situation.

Skyward Sword is an amazing game with a ton of flaws, and how much you like it will depend on how game-breaking those flaws are to you. Ocarina of Time is the opposite, with few flaws but with almost every aspect of its gameplay being done better by at least one game in the 3D series.

I prefer Skyward Sword because I could tolerate most of the flaws in the game.

Too many stupid things at the end really turned me off. I'd rather it have been one big fetch quest(like Wind Waker), than "Go do this" "now, go do that" "now for some reason, I want you to swim for no f***ing reason". I'd rather use a traditional controller. Hell, I loved the combat, but they needlessly used motion on everything and anything which was more than a pain in the ass.

MM > OoT however.
