My friend got a called from gamestop saying "Hello, this is GameStop calling with important news regarding your reservation. We've been notified by the vendor that The Last Guardian has been canceled. To reserve a different title or have your reservation money refunded, please go gamestop.com" If this game is canceled I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
I wouldn't say that its 100% not cancelled. Sony just might not be ready to make the official announcement yet. Regardless, even if its not cancelled, its a mess with losing its director and being in development hell, so who knows what'll happen to it. It might be a case where the quality just never lives up to their standards

I'm shocked, really
Well lets say they are cleaning up their database to begin the new year. If there are games that haven't had any kind of info for years, why not remove them from the database? They can always add them back later, but at this point the Last Guardian might as well be vaporware.
"The Last Guardian has not been cancelled by Sony as we incorrectly stated in an automated call to reservation customers. Because the game did not have a specific release date, GameStop made the decision to remove the game from our system. The Last Guardian will be reinstated for pre-order when a firm launch date is known," a statement from GameStop explains."

Maybe because lots of people pre-ordered it and it creates an annoying hassle for them to suddenly have that disappear?

Ueda is still wokring on the game and will finish due to contract but he's no longer going to be an employee of sony in the future.
Good luck Ueda, you gave us games that only people can dream about. No doubt in my mind Last Guardian will be an absolute Masterpiece like it's predecessors.
