In my country they recently put Avatar the series on TV and I saw it for the first time.I really liked it.So how is the movie?I have heard bad things.It is that bad?And if yes why?

Ahng is actually the more correct pronunciation, but I'm of the opinion that they should favor consistency over accuracy.

Shyamalan has talked about wanting to make a Book 2 movie

But yeah I tried to watch it to see if it was "so bad it's good" but this shatters that limit so hard. Literally every single aspect of the movie is terrible. The best parts of the movie are still really bad. If someone watched the TV show and decided to make the worst possible movie based upon it, they could not make a movie this bad. This movie required the unique combination of egotistical and ****ing retarded that only Shyamalan possesses.

Even if you were an amazing director and tried to make a movie based on the show, I don't think it would turn out well. You're trying to compress 20 episodes of dense non-filler story and action of the show into a 2-hour movie. And a HUGE aspect of the show is the excellent animation, which could be cool with live action and special effects, but it still wouldn't compare to the original.

Its hilarious how in the ep "Ember Island Players" they basically nailed how the movie was going to turn out

The earth benders summoned those boulders for at least two minutes I swear. Two full minutes of synchronized dancing only for the damn rocks to move three miles an hour toward their enemies. The movie was garbage.
