I like him a lot, too bad he got downplayed and his "development" was glossed over like every other FFIX character in lieu of "You're Not Alone!"

Is utterly hilarious in 90% of the scenes hes in, but isn't that great in battle... partially because one of his ability sets requires Vivi to be around and alive.

Also, it looks like I'm skipping the next two days; nowhere near enough FFT or FFXII.

As much as FF9's cast makes me rage, Steiner's not bad. He gets some really funny moments (the bit where Garnet poisons everyone and Steiner assumes he has been poisoned too and blathers "heroically" about it is great) and I thought the Beatrix romance was pretty sweet for what it was. Unfortunately his actual development isn't great.
