So I can take either two graduate level courses or a graduate level course and a regular 400-level course that I can count as graduate credit for my graduate degree, but I can only ever take two 400-level courses like this. Graduate courses are much harder than undergrad courses (or so I'm told, this will be my first semester as a graduate student), but I'll eventually have to take two graduate courses at a time no matter what I do because I can only take two 400-level courses in the end anyway, and I'll be a graduate student for more than two semesters.
Also, getting into graduate courses is a tremendous pain in the ass because my college loves to overfill on students and not add enough courses for all of them, but I got lucky and am able to get into two this semester. I have absolutely no interest in either of their subject matters, but you know, they're both mandatory, so I'll have to take both eventually no matter what I do.

Oh also grad classes are more work than undergrad classes because they assume you're only taking two or three, but it's actually typically easier to get a good grade in them because departments typically require grad students to maintain minimum GPAs to keep funding, and they don't want to cut anyone off unless they're really not cutting it.
