yep. Lovin it so far. I've played for like 4 hours so far and have only done a few missions because all I do is the side missions hehe. The first couple missions were amazing though.
I just kept doing the Genki activity and the higher levels of Tank Mayhem to make money. Then I'd buy shops/property and make my hourly income go up.
And I don't think the VTOL is available to be stolen until further into the story. You'll know when, it's pretty obvious. You might not know where to go, but it's fairly obvious when they start appearing around the city.
I don't think so, but I'm not sure. I've never actually timed it, I just check my phone every now and then and I have a payout. It's worth taking over shops for the discounts anyway, and taking over districts will populate them with random Saints. That makes it easier to whistle up some backup, which is nice.
Also, steal every motorcycle you can until you find a Kaneda. One of my favorite vehicles in the game, fast and very easy to control. You'll go flying if you wreck, but it's still awesome.
Though it seems they did take out the glitch from SR2 where it could drive up buildings. That was amazing.
Hahaha, just started playing this myself today too, and I think I'm in love. Driving around with blades for wheels to Joe Esposito's You're the Best is not something I ever thought I would be able to do.
And I just found Insurance Fraud side-missions. This is the ****ing best thing ever made.

I found Insurance Fraud in SR2 to be better, because it was much easier to launch yourself into low orbit.

Agreed, except for one small detail. IIRC, in SR1 and SR2 if you got hit without taking a fall you'd get launched but wouldn't earn any money, and it'd end up wasting time. In SR3 you earn money even if you get hit when you're just standing there.
