I've come to the realization that I need a sig.

quite frankly there's just too many spinoffs for me to care about the story anymore. the DS has 2-3, the PSP has 2-3, they threw in another PS2 one in there (which was a GBA remake), the 3DS will have one within a year... and you know Vita prob will get another too. maybe after the 3DS gets its 2nd.


the more enjoyable part to me in this though is that FF13 will have a 13-2 before VS 13 comes out.

??? What spin-offs? KH has no spin-offs. Well one for V-Cast, but that's not made by Square or Disney so it hardly counts.

They're all relevant to the same plot. Its not 1-2-abcdef-3. Its 1-2-2.5-3 kind of. KH3D is the 2.5 in this case.

They're not spin-offs, they're part of the main series.

And PSP only has one. Also the games on the DS don't really contribute much to the story. Since Chain of Memories was remade for the PS2 you have no reason to play the GBA version.

also everyone who doesn't play the games that came after KH2 are going to be very confused when KH3 hits because it's going to rely heavily on the things that happened in those games. They're pretty simple to understand too as long as you actually pay attention in cutscenes and read the secret notes that are always unlocked in the postgames

Also BBS is the best game in the series, so you should definitely play that no matter what.

Actually that's really the only game you need to play other than 1, 2, and I guess CoM. Days and Coded don't matter all that much.

I love the kh series but theres no denying the plots a mess. I love it and read all the supplement but it's just because I enjoy that kind of convultion.

no, it is a mess no matter what. just because it is possible to understand it if you devote the time to it does not mean that it is actually presented in an entertaining, digestible, and engrossing manner. It is like the star wars prequels, they create a kingdom hearts universe, but the games don't each tell a good story themselves (except the first one which is actually focused rather than being convoluted).
