But seriously I have no clue. Never chipped a tooth before but really came close when I fell off a scooter one time. There's like a faint crack running through one of my teeth that you have to really squint at to see. Yeah I got lucky there.

Anyway, maybe soak it in cold milk and head to the dentist? I doubt he can do anything but at least you'll have tried rather than just throwing it away.

Yeah, I vaguely remembered hearing something about putting chipped teeth in milk before, so I just did that. Unfortunately, I don't think I can go to the dentist for a good while, so that's probably in vain.

Uh, throw it away.

There's really only two things they can do.

1. File the tooth away if the chip is small enough and flatten it out. I used to have really upper front teeth until I chipped it and they filed away a bit of the whole thing and it was awesome.

2. If it's too much to file away, they can replace the tooth with a crown.

It's just depressing to hear "Yeah, no, you're not getting that part of your tooth back. Here, have some fake stuff instead." Like my body is falling apart and all I can do is replace it with synthetics. It's a grim reminder of my mortality.

I'm keeping the tooth shards in that glass of milk until a certified dentist tells me "You're an idiot, throw them away." Or until the milk spoils

Ignore it? that's what I did.

I got elbowed in the mouth fighting with my brother some time ago (10 years I think) and part of one of my bottom front teeth broke off, I just spit it out and ignored it.

I've chipped the same tooth like 3 times. They just put some stuff on there that looks and feels like a tooth. Not too noticeable if they do it well.
