I actually would say the opposite, although honestly, I did not play nearly as much of Morrowind as I did Oblivion. That said, I played Oblivion first, so.

Folklore. Absolutely dripping with atmosphere.

The Myst series has some superb environments too. And, of course, Termina from Majora's Mask. <3 Clock Town. I've said it a lot before, but it really was the first time that I felt like I wanted to save the world because I felt I had a personal stake in it, rather than just because it was the point of the game.

God yes. Folklore has some of the best atmosphere I have ever seen in a video game. Pity its...actual gameplay can get boring, or else a lot more people would have heard of it.

Enslaved, hmm... I haven't played that. Seems like I might enjoy it, should I get it?

It's an action/adventure game, it wasn't reviewed well but there's a lot of people here who love it (LtM especially). Why the crap can't I think of the name and what the crap am I thinking of?

Yeah, came in to say Enslaved. Bit easy, but beautiful game to play.

I'd also recommend Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon for the Wii (if that game even came out in the US). Post apocalyptic Tokyo, but entirely serene and eerily quiet-like.

Xenoblade has the best environments in any game ever.

Yes I've played Just Cause, Oblivion, all Final Fantasies, SotC, Okami, all Zeldas, etc etc.

As long as polygon count and screen resolution isn't a big factor to you(it shouldn't be), Xenoblade beats everything.

EDIT: It's also worth mentioning that the environments are 100% interactive. There are no invisible walls preventing you from jumping over waist-high fences. Kind of a big deal in a JRPG.
