Not changing this sig until the Bengals, Bills, Browns and Lions win the Super Bowl (10/10/10) The most American Canadian on Board 8 - #9 Bro on Board 8
What really annoyed me about this is that I'm on a mini-vacation in Arizona. Was out here for my cousin's amazing wedding yesterday here at the Biltmore. But on Friday, me and my cousin wanted to watch the Lesnar/Overeem fight at BWW. The closest one was in Tempe, where ASU is, and where the "Inspiration Bowl" was happening that night. Our taxi ride gained another $15 because of the traffic buildup trying to get there. The BWW was literally 2 blocks from the stadium, and we then even had to stand there for almost an hour before we were seated.... and even then, it was only because two other guys offered to let us sit with them. This pointless bowl just caused us so many problems.
I got payed $125 to ride a bus down to New Orleans, spend the weekend there, and play some music.
So do NOT tell me these bowls are pointless. If there was no such thing as an R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, then I would have missed out on one of the best weekends I had last year(by which I mean 2010).

I don't know why all of the lesser bowls have to have a "point." It's football, it doesn't need to. Yeah they're basically exhibition games but who cares, they're fun. I want a playoff system in football, but I wouldn't want to lose all of the other bowls to it.
Bowls are awesome because it's more college football. For a lot of the smaller schools, who are never gonna have a chance at a national championship game or playoffs if they existed, it's a great honor to go to a bowl, and the fanbase rallies around them. It's just a chance to watch your team win one more game, often at a cool place (or occasionally Boise, ID).
