Yeah, it's not Bethesda.

I like Skyrim and all, but it has a lot of glaring coding issues -- even if you're ignoring all game design things and only looking at obvious bugs (spell resistance causing your conjuration spells to fail, for example). When you add the bad game design issues it just makes things worse. The modding community is fantastic so it ends up not being a huge issue for players, but it doesn't speak well for the company.

A mod was released on December 31st that basically doubles Skyrim's performance on most machines. That is a month and a half after the game came out. Something like that coming out a few years later I could understand but that quick shows what a joke Bethesda is now.
