Board 8 > Is the PS3 version of Star Ocean 4 still terrible?

I know it's supposed to have fixed some of the 360 original's problems (like disc-swapping in the endgame), but did it bring it up to 'worth playing'?

I love the first two SOs (SO2 is probably my favourite JRPG ever), but wasn't that keen on SO3.

Still has the abysmal story and characters.

If you didn't like SO3, SO4 isn't quite as bad, but still pretty terrible.

I have this problem where I am like "SO3 really sucked, but the PS3 has no goddamn rpgs" that almost makes me want to buy SO4

I went to the console stlye RPGs list for PS3 and saw 22 entries and felt sad.

Either way, PS3 RPGs to get before SO4: Resonance of Fate, Valkyria Chronicles, uh.....

Well ****, maybe Eternal Sonata, but I can't vouch. FFXIII, honestly. I've heard that XIII-2 is gonna be pretty good? Tales of Graces will be out soon, same with Ni no Kuni.

I have Eternal Sonata, and it's a pretty cool game. Not great or particularly memorable, but it is worth a play.
