I do okay with DQ battle systems when I have a fast forward button. without that, I usually get bored! I'm like "what is all this text and no matching games in sight."
alternatively if the game takes place on a chess board there's a good chance I'll like that too. ... Copied to Clipboard!

though I think part of what makes Persona 3/4 cool is the reward for successfully completing the matching game. All out attacks are pretty satisfying.
