But yeah, this was pretty much the stupidest justification for a quest/task/whatever thatI have seen in a game ever. At least swimming around Faron Woods was fun for a bit.
It was a bit amusing that sealing the source of all evil in the universe three times and acquiring the legendary blade of evil's bane, wieldable ONLY by the chosen wasn't enough to prove that you're the chosen. Instead you prove your worth by capturing tadpoles!

hey at leastFi being annoying is mostly on the gameplay side of things Water Dragon makes the story itself take longer
I actually kind of liked her at first, but the moment she told me that to be sure I was the legendary hero I needed to perform another fetch quest that she created a need for, well, that was it.

I seriously can't stand this tadpole quest, it takes forever and unlike the other fetch quests, it's only necessary because she felt like you needed a quest.

It's terrible and ruined everything(a bit of an exaggeration).
If they wanted to pad the game they should have had some mini dungeon pop up from under the tree or something, and do the fetch quest that way. Honestly would have made it a million times more bearable.

Heck, they don't even need to do a dungeon, they could of just done what they did for the thunder dragon, which was great. Or, you know, literally anything other than collecting tadpoles.
