Honestly, I probably don't have the coding chops to succeed at an outfit like Naughty Dog yet. I'll need to put a couple more years of time into professional software development before I imagine I'll have a serious shot at landing a job like that.

Personally I don't "get" the strategy of not applying to places. Most places have a programming test, and frankly the people who do best on programming tests tend to be people fresh out of college because they've just spent years practicing writing tests. If you're smart and competent, the hard part should be convincing a company to look at your resume at all.

(Admittedly, Naughty Dog is completely atypical and does not use the normal screening tricks; never been through a screening process like THAT before.)

I...probably shouldn't. They emailed me descriptions and things to prepare for before it happened, though, so it's not like you wouldn't know what's coming. I just don't think I should be posting such things on GameFAQs >_>

It's more of a "they are hiring now, and may not be hiring later" thing, although I do think it's a good practice to not leave a job right after taking it >_>
