At first I thought he was intentionally goofing around with it after he did it multiple times, which surprised me, but then I realized he is probably just trying to take that thing somewhere high and trying to eat it unsuccessfully.

Crows are very intelligent birds, I highly doubt he would have kept trying something that wasn't working if he was intending to fly away with it.

Crows are really smart yeah but that doesn't mean there aren't things they don't get.

Anyway yeah I've never really seen crows play around before they seem like they're kinda serious business all the time. It's funny to watch them scavenge around though.
