Just make sure you stretch properly and know the difference between being sore and being injured.
And yeah, it's best to work out every day (or at least 6 days a week) but to not do the same parts of the body two days in a row. you should either read up extensively or invest in a gym membership and a personal trainer
going in blind and just "doing things" won't lead to anything but useless soreness and possible injury you also need a goal to direct your workouts like losing x amount of fat or gaining x amount of muscle and how fast you want to progress diet also plays a big part in both losing and gaining weight you can check the martial arts board here on GameFAQs and read the sticky topic (trust me) if you're gonna be serious about this -- SuperNiceDog all you need ... No, your abs should be somewhat involved with a push-up. They help stabilize your core and keep it straight while your arms and chest do the actual lifting and descending. The farther "in" your arms are the more they're doing the work, the farther "out" they are the more work your chest is doing.
If your abs are the only part barking at you during a push-up I would still keep going. -- Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. http://bryandanielson.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/photo3.jpg ... Copied to Clipboard!

Last year I lost just over 40 pounds in approx 5 months time. Calorie counting was my method of success. Stay away from the junk (candy, chips, processed meat, etc.) even if you count calories on those they keep you hungry and that's not good for this method. When you read the labels keep in mind you don't just look at the calories on a package and say oh, only 200 per serving? Good deal!!! Sometimes those packages have 2 to 4 servings in them which equals you eating 400-800 calories instead. It can be misleading if you're not watching out for that. Take your drinks into account as well. Soda is usually bad for calories. Water ofcourse being the best. Tea is okay too. Not sure on your specific age, weight, sex. But somewhere around 600-800 calories per meal (3 a day) is where you want to be for average sake, again though everyone's calorie diet is different so you'll need to find yours out.

Well umm gee. 20, 5'8", male here as well. My weight was around 175 so now I stay around 135-140. I keep around a 1900-2000 calorie diet each day. I do not work out much anymore though so you might want to go 2200-2400 if you do. You should burn through what little fat you have and have no problems staying healthy just eating the right foods.

You don't exercise when you're sore. That's your body telling you you need to rest. Well at least, you can exercise, just not the muscles that are sore. It's actually counter productive to exercise muscles that are sore.
And if you're just getting back in to exercising, your body will take a week or two to adapt. -- GameFAQs isn't going to be merged in with GameSpot or any other site. We're not going to strip out the soul of the site. -CJayC ... Copied to Clipboard!
