I don't think the NFC is shaping up to have dominant teams at all. Out of the entire lot, only the Vikings, Rams, Buccaneers, and Redskins seem to be a ways away from being competitive. The Giants, Cowboys, Eagles, Packers, Lions, Bears, Saints, Falcons, Panthers, 49ers, Seahawks, and Cardinals all have some positive things going for them, and even those four teams that are kind of crap could suddenly jump into competition with one good draft.

lol nfc east. People need to get off their nuts. Average division. You got a solid giants team when their asses are against the wall, and a bunch of other big markets who get way too much media coverage. Bears really? Seahawks? Cards? I mean cmon. You don't think the Bears are elite? They were shaping up that way this year until they got bit by the injury bug. I've come around to Jay Cutler being a better QB than people give him credit for. Matt Forte is shaping up into one of the best RBs in the league. My only question about the Bears is that the window may be closing on Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman, et al. That window isn't closed yet, though. That defense may be old but they're still Super Bowl quality.
The Seahawks and Cardinals are both a correct QB selection away from being way better than anyone realizes. I don't really know enough about the Cardinals to say that much about them, except that throwing the ball anywhere in Larry Fitzgerald's general vicinity is basically an instant win button. Obviously I know the Seahawks pretty well, and I'm just saying, don't be surprised when the Seahawks have an absolutely monster defense ala the 49ers in three years. A lot of people are going to be surprised, but you won't be if you know what I know. Be ahead of the curve on this one. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Cutler just needs to sustain his level of play from this year and stay healthy, then essentially they are NFC contenders for the next few years.

A lot of people are going to be surprised, but you won't be if you know what I know. Be ahead of the curve on this one. The bears need about 4 OLs before they are elite. Like you said, the defense is aging real fast and they are gonna have to rebuild it soon. Finally Forte might not even be a bear next year. a "correct qb selection" is tough in the nfl. I think some fans are so spoiled (myself included being a steelers fan) with their qb situation that they forget about half the league plays musical chairs with their qbs. Unless you think this decade is completely different, i think people need to realize that it has been this way for the entire nfl history. Look at the NFC from 86 to elways back to back. The 49ers, Giants, Cowboys, and Redskins accounted for 10 of the 11 super bowls (the packers winning the one right before elway's back to back). I mean those 4 teams WON every super bowl from the 86 to 95 season. -- Pride. Passion. Excellence. Metal_DK Currently playing: Sengoku Rance, Starcraft II ... Copied to Clipboard!

the eagles window is so small that they will be a blip when it comes to the decade discussion. Vick is about to be 32 and has had numerous injuries to more than make up his few years out of the league. Asomugha is about to be 31 and doesnt seem to fit the eagles scheme as well. The dline is ok, but babin is overrated since a much better cole takes all the attention off of babin. Plus both are starting to enter their 30s as well.
