There's no arguing it; that was completely blatant.

I skipped to the end, but it did seem like they gave him a good chunk uninterrupted. He probably just didn't hear the guy saying "commercial break".

He's talking about how the media barely mentions him and they go into commercials 3/4 minutes after commercials were already aired

come on now. I'm not a supporter of Ron Paul but I will always despise media bias like this. Left OR right. Fox News is just even more dumb about it than everyone else

I dunno, I see interviews get abruptly sent to commercial break a lot on cable news. I haven't been keeping track of how it happens in presidential candidate interviews though.

Would have been 100x funnier if the commercial was a campaign ad.

The thing with news stations is that they can choose when to go to commercial

it's kinda funny to see them still carrying out the media blackout on him when it's already clear gringich or romney are winning the nomination, at this point it's not even because he terrifies them, it's just spiteful.

Not that I want to give fox news any credit, but if this was during the primary, they possibly could have been timing their commercials with the expected timing of speeches, etc.

Eh, I rarely if ever see awkward cutoffs like this. News stations are pretty flexible with their commercial breaks and will usually at least give their guest(s) some extra seconds to finish articulating their thoughts before informing everyone it's time for commercial. It's just common practice and extends even to no-name guests. It didn't happen here, and this was far from a no-name guest. It was a major presidential candidate during a voting day. And they had just come back from commercial three minutes earlier. And Neil Cavuto was strange/nervous about the whole thing, which newscasters usually aren't. It's clear they cut him off because they didn't like what he was saying, which is funny because it's nothing any debate viewer wouldn't have figured out for themselves by now.

Ah, well, like I said, I didn't listen to him, i just watched the 5 seconds where the interviewer is holding his finger up and saying we're going to commercial break.

Well yeah I'm sure Fox has orders straight from Murdoch to minimize Ron Paul coverage, and to marginalize him when they actually do cover him. Cavuto was basically saying "well you've had a good run, but you never actually expected to win, did you?"

Yeah, that's really unprofessional. I don't think I've ever seen this happen to anyone on the CBC. Like, the only time ANYONE ever gets cut off is to go to a live event (typically one the person is giving some additional information on) and 95% of the time it will be their own correspondant. Like, if you're a news station, you can run ads any time you want pretty much aside from live stuff.

fox news anchors literally yell at their guests and turn their mics off if they're making a good case for an argument they don't like, unprofessional is their area of expertise.

I also hate fox news and didn't even watch the video, I just have seen small commercial breaks on news stations during primary coverage because they need to take a break but don't want to do so during anyone's speech.

I would not at all be surprised if fox was just cutting him off because he was saying things they don't like, though.
