I've done zero group assignments in college other than labs (and even those you have to write your own report), so it's definitely possible if you pick the right major.

If you really hate working with other people that much, you should think ahead of what you want to do for a living and go for a major that goes along with a job with little interaction with people

Oh and I'll probably major in literature something, I love writing so we'll see where it gets me. Don't really want to pick something just because there are loads of jobs opportunity related to it, I'd rather pick something I enjoy and roll with it.

the difference
you pay to go to a college you get paid at your job
Other people shouldn't influence your grade in a course that you are paying money for. That simple. Group work doesnt even "build teamwork skills" like so many teachers say it does. You build teamwork skills by hanging out with friends, playing sports, study groups on individual assignments, etc. Pretty much anything but group projects.

People say this, but typically in the "real world" the stakes are higher for most people. In high school and early college, you tend to have people who just couldn't care less and are perfectly content letting you do all the work, or none of the work, whatever. There are people like that in the "real world" too, but they're not nearly as common.
