SlymDayspring posted... It is pretty simple. For example, some people still think vaccines cause autism, but that does not change that all evidence suggests vaccines do not cause autism. Just because there is a vocal amount of people protesting reality does not mean they have any actual leg to stand on.
Vaccines causing autism can be factually disproved, or at least tested.
The nature of what constitutes "life" in itself is malleable and subjective. Therefore there is no "definitive" answer either way.

It's unfertilized, but it's no more a live cell than the egg in human females.
yes and no one calls a period a f***ing miscarriage
Of course not.
A miscarriage directly refers to an embryo or fetus.
Funny how that definition changes in the medical community right? It's almost like every doctor in the world finds a factual difference between an unfertilized cell and a fertilized cell cluster!

That said, people who say abortion is murder are no more correct than people who say fetuses aren't "living."
it's not that they aren't living, it's just that they don't count for purposes of murder
animals are definitely more developed and more sentient than a fetus but the vast majority of these pro-lifers are not vegan. I just reject that whether the thing is alive is their actual argument, since it's easy to find areas where they get inconsistent real quick.
come back when you aren't gonna put words in my mouth. you can't argue with my actual point.
You either:
1. Have the intellect of a 9 year old and actually equate an unfertilized chicken egg with a baby chicken
or
2. Have the intellect of a 9 year old and equate an unfertilized chicken egg with a fertilized human fetus
Take your pick
I pick none of the above, because I don't care about any of the above and I see no f***ing reason to care about any of the above if I'm not the one with any of the above inside of me, so again, f*** 'em.

SlymDayspring posted... please point to where I said unfertilized. it was obviously implied by my statement that I meant fertilized, as it would be really dumb otherwise.
Many people would call a fertilized chicken egg a chicken, because when you crack it open a f***ing bird falls out.
Stop embarrassing yourself.

Human "life" trumps any sentient animal life for many, many people. It's not a ludicrous belief to have if you believe we are created in God's image. (And there is non-religious logic to support that idea too, I'm sure.)

On a serious note though, I just contradict religious people as much as I can and for some reason, for the life of me I cannot get Sephy to argue with me probably because we're buddies and he just can't bring himself to do it or something...
besides, I was adopted and could have easily been aborted, so I have this natural entitlement complex in regard to abortion in the same way people of various races/ethnicities feel entitled to say negative things about their own race/ethnicity while others do not have that right >_> (no I don't believe that, but I am adopted and could just have easily been aborted so I do feel as though my opinion counts for more than others)

I don't argue with you because you're being transparent. I know you're not really as moronic as someone like cyclo might be (if he's not really just cleverly trolling).

What I'm adopted too, so i guess that means my views should count for more on this.
I'm religious by the boards definition of it, but I dont think I'd call myself pro-life. More like pro-use f***ing common sense (protection, bc, even the morning after pill is fine in my book) but except for rather extreme circumstances (health, rape, and so on) I'm pretty much you deserve what you get.

Being against real actual murder is also a religious idea.
Hammurabi's a fair deal older than Abrahamic religion, and it's pretty safe to say that being against murder goes back way earlier than that (of course, so does "religion" in general, but at that point it's impossible to say which came first). Primarily irreligious cultures still do not, as a rule, tolerate murder.
