I kind of forget about it for long stretches of time then go back and catch up. Pretty much the same with any webcomic that doesn't update daily.

I've always thought it was a little indecent to continue accepting money after you've reached your goal.

Basically the Kickstarter started to raise money to reprint some of the books that contain the webcomic since they went out of stock. The logistics of it were apparently messy, so he was using this to know if it'd be successful enough to warrant a reprint. Obviously... it was. Rich is using the extra money to reprint the other books. He's not pocketing any of the extra money.

Well any good kickstarter project will explain in their pitch what they would do with extra money.

I donated enough to get the 3 print-only books since I was gonna buy them when they came back in stock anyway.

Yup, I gave $45.

Already own all the books, but I had to get that colouring book, so I went for the $25 art print, plus the Sticky Schticks card pack (even though I don't own the game!) and commemorative patch.

No, a decent one would.

A good kickstarter project would take all the money it could wring from its fanbase.

yeah I know. I wasn't implying that this was a bad kickstarter. I was just talking about how any projects in general need to do that

and Bio, this OOTS project is the second-highest amount of money raised for any Kickstarter project ever, behind just the Double Fine one, so I'd say they succeeded in that here too.
