PSP games in Japan are sold at a much higher price, so people see the value in spending the $5 to $10 to get the digital copy, said Yoshida. But when the games are already sold at a lower price in the U.S. we see less value in introducing that kind of system.
The response wouldn't be much better if they were doing it in America, anyway. "Sony is making me pay for games I already own!!!" would be commonplace here. I don't think the support level is there yet, either. Games like Metal Gear and Final Fantasy aren't part of this program, the last I saw.
