Compromising. If they call me or ask me to work a shift that isn't closing (and they have done that often) then I can work that and get plenty of hours. So it's a reasonable compromise. I'm getting a full shift now, and I don't need to stay until close. And closing is terrible because you run out of things to do and people to help by 8. So you stand there drooling for a while.
