Well I've decided it's that time again, B8 Survivor, time to determine who's the better flash game player. The first seasons winner was Chronic1000, will he even sign up this time around? There will be a number of different challenges covering a variety of skill sets. There will be some from the first season, but the majority of them are new, a couple of old school retro games in the mix as well, that's all I'll say about that.
I think all of the kinks have been worked out in the first season so this time around should be pretty smooth methinks. I would like to start Friday night, but that all depends on how quick sign-ups go.
For those that don't know how this works: 1. I will be looking for 20-24 contestants, and dividing them into 2 even teams. 2. Those teams will then compete in flash games. They will be given an allotted amount of time to complete a certain task (high score, quickest time) in said game, failure to do so voids their score. - At anytime, if I find the teams to be unevenly matched, or heck, if I just get bored, I can randomize teams whenever I feel like. 3. Scores are then tallied and totaled by me. Winning team gets immunity, losing team has to vote a member out. - Winning team will have to choose a member (or members) of their team to sit out the next challenge. Losing Team may have to do this as well, teams must be even when they are competing. All depends on current situation. - If two or more members of the losing team have an equal amount of votes against them, they will compete in a 'random past challenge' to determine who stays and who goes. 4. Highest scoring member on the losing team gets immunity and cannot be voted out. - If two or more members of the losing team tie for the high score, they will compete in a 'random past challenge' to determine who gets immunity. 5. When we lose roughly half the players, the teams will merge, rules are similar: Winner of current challenge gets immunity, everyone else can be voted out. 6. When we get to the final 9, the next 7 voted off will be jury members. 7. Those 7 jury members will then vote for which of the final 2 will be the B8 Survivor season 2 winner.
How to submit your score: 1. When you see your high score on the screen of the current challenge, press the 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard. Make sure the picture is good and clear and the high score is plainly visible. 2. Close or minimize your game, then open Paint, or any other program you might have that opens pictures. 3. Paste the picture into a new picture by either selecting 'paste', or pressing 'control + v'. 4. Save the file somewhere on your computer, preferably as a jpeg, but so long as it's a viewable file it's fine. 5. You will then upload this picture to any hosting site: imgshack, imgcake, photobucket, whatever. 6. You will then copy the link to the picture, and send it to me via PM. Make sure it's on time or it doesn't count.
Some dos and don'ts: 1. You can start forums and/or chatrooms for your team to communicate with one another. I actually encourage this, but you don't necessarily have to. 2. You can watch youtubes and search for tips for current challenges. 3. You cannot share scores among teammates. 4. You cannot grab scores from the internet. 5. If I manage to catch anyone cheating in the competition, you will be eliminated from it. Period.
Some other notes: 1. The first season of this competition took roughly 3 months, I don't imagine this one to be much shorter, bare that in mind before determining whither or not you want to sign-up. 2. Make sure you have a decent computer to run the games. I know they are only flash games, but you could and might be surprised. 3. Games will be rated anywhere from Everyone to Mature, be aware of that. 4. Though I'm always open to suggestions, I have the right to run this competition how I see fit.
I leave this one to Jeff... still havent recovered from last season.

Heh, sorry about last season edward. If you do change your mind, I can promise nothing silly like that will happen again... to be honest I'm kinda drawing a blank, was that the challenge where everyone tied?
In so far: 1. Great_Paul 2. Mik_Pick 3. ImTheMacheteGuy 4. eaedwards6400 5 .JeffreyRaze 6. MysteriousStan 7. Justin_Crossing
Yeah I got booted on the challenge where everyone tied.

From: 3DSRage | #023 Just don't stick me with losers who suck at games and vote me out when I don't participate where my participation wouldn't have helped us.

boring and mundane signature congratulating SuperNiceDog Now with more bold!Less Italics due to bold
From: Chronic1000 | #027 While I did enjoy in participating and eventually winning the B8 Survivor last year, I don't think I should try to make this two straight.
That being said, I will follow the contest, and I'll definitely try my hand at a few of the new games. Good luck to everyone!
I think you should, only if you want though. I mean what are the chances of you winning 2 in a row really? If you want to sit it out though that's fine too, but don't let the whole 'I don't wanna win 2 in a row' thing stop you if that is in fact what's stopping you.
Elbeno just sent me a pm signing up. He has a new account so cannot post yet, but I told him to post just as soon as he can so myself and all you know he's legit.
Would it help if I said I have 12 Steam keys to give out? Some of which I will give away during certain challenges, if of course you meet the requirements I set for said challenge, which won't be easy.
