The OP is good

but BRS is not complex at all, they just don't really explain what's really going until episode 5 or so when they tell you what people are. I havn't seen the last episode yet, but I still have no clue about the pedophile councilor's motives or reasonings etc. Or why characters are having such sudden heelturns etc out of nowhere.

I was talking about Yuri Seijin OP/ED, though I quite enjoy watching BRS's too. The way it looks like their limbs are disconnected from their bodies in the OP is really cool.

You're not even sure if the girls in BRS world are actually real, a dream, some alternate reality etc or their purposes until they explicitly tell you.

Well, take it like this.

Before we find out what it is the options were like

It's Mato's dream of her relationship with the other girls. Which makes sense, but it has no effect on anything since she doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all. I mean im sure she noticed that she looks like BRS kinda, she did point out the other girls looked like her friends. But didn't feel the least bit bothered by it until later. In fact, even though she mentions the dream and wonders about it, she never really pursues what it means and doesn't find out until she is told.

Also, Saya (and yuu i think) had complete and full knowledge about what was going on too, but before they tell you it's just things happening for the sake of happening. Until you find out what BRS world is and why it exists it has just about no real relevance to the plot at all.

And yes, most motives are simple, but I was talking specifically about Saya. I mean, Mato just wants to be friends with other girls, Yomi is upset because Mato makes other friends, Yuu is upset because she had a hard life etc... but Saya's motivation is linked directly to BRS world and even once you know about it you're still wondering why she even cares.

man, i'm gonna miss guilty crown for a bit. animation on that thing was superb, same for the music. hope to find a good replacement for it. last ep was all kinds of a bizarre mess with a crazy ending that was absolutely a cop out so i hope they flesh that out some more down the road. we already know there's a prequel VN to come that should be good, but there's some more that needs to be filled in there about the end and afterwards. still, i liked the show quite a bit. visuals and music make so damn much of it though.

(Shu also needs to finally hook up with Ayase already. that relationship didn't get fleshed out the way it deserved to be.)

i wouldn't be surprised if they did. they have lost christmas (the event which created this story and everything comes back to) in a VN and there's a lot of material within the series for it. they just fast forwarded through the ending to a ridiculous amount and left a lot of holes. movie would fill 'em up.

Beated Guilty Crown. Had pretty decent action and music, but the writing was so bad. It still managed to be entertaining to a degree though.

eh... had a couple things to say but figured it'd be easier to boil down that i like what they did with Shu for the most part in that he was human, sucked initially, got better, and had an epic collapse before regaining stuff and finally, towards the end, being good. unfortunately the actual end had him jesus mode and then become as lame as when he started, so i don't know what the hell to say about him at that point.

main thing they sucked at was romance, and this especially is notable with Shu. Hare and Inori didn't feel like rivals ever even after the plot stuff with Inori to make things just a little awkward AND Shu's reaction 3/4 of the way through made no sense. Ayase never got more than a brief spark even though she's clearly the secondary love interest by the end and there's some attraction on both ends to make it work. Gai goes from 'man that guy's pretty cool' to 'okay so we're making him with a lost cause,' to 'that makes absolutely no sense what the goddamn hell.' like, they could actually push out a sequel if they wanted to with stuff in the last ep, and field an entirely different cast while they're at it, making him entirely useless for much of the plot. and you really can't shoehorn his 'that was the plan!' at the end to anything beyond terrible writing. then there's daryl, who i swear was a guy they tried so hard to make us care about, gave him stuff in the last ep, and the only redeeming thing about him is that he's a SRW fan.

...man. there's more complaints than compliments there, but they DID do a good job with Yashiro and, romance-aside, Shu. the worst loose end is probably the president since we don't even know if she lived or died and she also had a pretty nice character development. <___<;

Finished Tantei Opera Milky Holmes Dai 2 Maku . Perfect final episode, perfect show. Took everything that made Tantei Opera Milky Holmes great to the extreme, had probably the best cast ever, and the J.C. Staff animation was even more entertaining than before. Bit of a shame no other anime this year can live up to it, but what can you do? I wish every sequel improved on the original this much.
