The weapons have certain upgrade paths, depending on what you do you can get the best weapons in the game. I forget what it was in DC2, but in DC the best weapon was the Chronicle Sword unless you beat the bonus 100 floor dungeon which got you the Chronicle 2 Sword I believe.

My preference would be (if I ever reach end-game):

Max's Gun: A machine gun and a beam gun
Max's Weapon: Either wrench or hammer would be fine

Monica's Sword: Either one or two-handed would be fine
Monica's Bracelet: Whatever

For Monica's Sword's, almost all weapons can lead to the final sword anyway, so it's not much of a problem. And Max's Wrenches and Hammers are almost equal, and strictly linear, so it's more whether you care about attack speed (Wrench), or damage (Hammer).

So I upgraded Max's wrench and it went to a Hammer... is that because I chose the bottom upgrade?

And Spheda might be the worst thing ever. It doesn't make sense!!!!!!!!!!

Currently about halfway through Chapter 4. Need to fix the town up a bit to visit the Luna Labs.

Spheda is fun!

Just get used to the controls and it's basically a modified golf mini-game. Starlight Canyon's spheda is hard though...

I play HSG and it's exactly the same it just doesn't make sense.

I don't know how far passages are or why it bounces off the wall in certain directions.

Try to use the map to tell where you should aim your shots and if you have a lot of shots remaining go for short straight shots until you get a good angle to aim for the goal.

I'm always using the map. Hell, I walk around the dungeons with it fully zoomed in, I'm not alone in that am I??

Ugh, forgot I could pick things up so I went and killed the dragon thingy instead of throwing the electric fish into its mouth. A nice gameover after 30 minutes of playtime...
