It's better than playing through the entire game only to find out you have been playing it wrong the whole time and are unable to beat the game (Romancing SaGa 2, SaGa Frontier 2 >_>)

"Don't freeze up girl, you're looking quite a sight." - Adam Ant. "Baby, can you dig your man? He's a righteous man." - Larry Underwood
Well, the SNES version of RS1 is not actually that difficult outside of Saruin, which is more of a "not running out of WP/JP" thing than difficulty since he's got tons of HP and turtles pretty heavily since his basic attack halves the amount of damage he takes. Not bad for not understanding the language at all, but it isn't bad if you're familiar with the remake since a lot of the major quests are similar (but a lot of stuff isn't there like 2 of the fatestones and there's barely any recruitable characters outside of the 8 mains)
And yeah I've beaten all of the games except for RS2 (>_>) and the DS games. Also I've beaten SaGa Frontier with five characters (Red, Asellus, Emelia, Blue, and T260G) and Unlimited SaGa with four (Laura, Ruby, Ventus, Kurt)

The only certain death in the universe is Mother Hitton's Littul Kittons. Not changing this line until I beat Seven Heroes (2/24/07)
Yeah there's some nasty scenarios like Cumberland or the slave ship. And the final boss is pretty nasty if you're trying to beat it legit, at the bare minimum you have to have soul steal dodge and pheremone dodge equipped or have an all female/genderless party. And while you get the former as part of the story and probably still have it equipped from Kujinshi form 2 you can miss the latter.
But you can apparently cheat by casting Quick Time/Fold Time to lock them out of doing any actions hence

I plan on nomming FFL2 for Best OST next time around, although I'm not sure Wipe Your Tears Away would be allowable since a version of it is in the original, which would hurt it considerably.
Also, you forgot the title theme, The Legend Begins, which is easily better than anything else in that game except maybe WYTA or Save the World:
