Board 8 > Is Fatal Frame 2 better than the first game?

Just finished FF1 about an hour ago. It was okay. Combat was incredibly annoying at times. I didn't think it was scary, like at all. I guess I jumped at one part, but that's it. Don't think I'll ever play through it again. I'll probably start the second game later this week.

Combat is much improved over the first game, but the first game is scarier.

Also there's far less invisible obstacles and walls.

I don't know about the first game, but your tolerance toward Japanese culture will determine if you hate the main characters as much as I did. They're quite languid, in that Japanese femininity sort of way, and a trifle dumb. I almost wound up rooting for the ghosts.
