Sly 2 is actually kind of boring, I'm not a big fan of the hub world or mission based structure. Just a lot of pointless running to and from the hideout all the time. Was probably impressive at the time, was an overused concept around the time of GTAIII and Vice City.

I think the general consensus is 2 > 1 > 3

I liked Sly 2's switch in style, but I did appreciate how simple Sly 1 was. It was quick and to the point.


The Sly 2 style was getting boring for me by 3 though, although that probably has more to do with playing it right after 2.

I'd heard before getting it that 1 was very old fashioned being unforgiving, linear that kind of thing. 2 and 3 being much better.

Have to admit I sort of enjoyed that aspect of 1, bit glitchy and technically weaker but there was no messing about with it. I might have enjoyed 2 more at the time but mission style is beginning to grate with me, not enough variety in the setting.

Also wth did they do with Murray in between 1 and 2? Seemed to have a complete transformation of his character.

Well, 25/81 trophies in SR3 so far. Unlike most games with DLC, however, I may set out to get 100% on this, considering that this is a ****ing fun game.

Since the true ending finally came out for Asura's Wrath I believe it's time I started that

also playing Saints Row 2 on the side since it came free with the PS3 version of SR3. No trophies for SR2, but that won't stop me from getting 100%

Sly 2 is getting better now, really liked the Canada episode with all the trains. Much nicer place for a mission structure than the previous city area. Really annoying traveling to and fro an area where you have to remember specific pipes to climb to reach locations at certain heights.

Platinum'd Sly 2. Requirements were a bit of a joke o_O

They have one collectable built into the game and ironically completion of that collection sidequest isn't a trophy requirement. Neither is buying everything from the shop, feels strange to lay out your trophies so that the average player could accidentally complete them all just finishing the game.

Decided to go on a music game kick this week Targetting Green Day: Rock Band, Guitar Hero 5 and Guitar Hero: Smash Hits.

Unlikely to platinum any of them, theres a lot of really weird requirements in some of them. Rock Band games tend to like to have a tap guitar trophy in all their games which can only be done with the rock band model of guitar since harmonix are JERKS. Both GH's and Green Day have a bunch of band trophies, requiring 4 people and in some cases multiple microphones. Not gonna happen, but will hopefully knock the completion up to something more respectable.
