I'm down to play but I'm focusing on Bronze right now to level my Batarian Sentinel. I'm not sure how effective he'd be on higher difficulties.

I have my Salarian Engineer with Decoy for Silver/Gold but I want to play the new classes.

Does anybody know of a guide which says which sidequests have any kind of impact in ME3? And I do mean any kind, like even just an e-mail or so. I'd like to play through ME2 with an Infiltrator, Sentinel and Vanguard, but I'm not really looking for the full experience, just kind of important stuff for ME3.

Got the Asari Justicar. Not really my thing, but I can't complain.

Now I've got all the adepts, but still no quarian, krogan, or geth.

I need to farm credits on gold.

I wanted the Stargazer at the end to be voiced by the gentleman who did all the codex readings. For some reason, I just feel it would have been awesome and a more fitting (or at least less un-fitting cough) way to end everything.

I think I got really lucky to nab the Salarian Infiltrator so early. Picked him (and the Krogan Sentinel) up in my second Spectre Pack.

I just recently got the Salarian Infiltrator. He's probably my favorite class to play along with the Salarian Engineer.

Batarian Sentinel is pretty fun, though. Nothing beats killing a brute by bouncing its melee damage back at it.

I got the Justicar. I though the shield bubble took the damage for you until it disappeared. Turns out it's a damage reducer.

I always thought it was just a damage reducer. It'd be a bit broken if it blocked everything.

It has potential, though. Damage reduction, faster shield recharge, increased damage to enemies who step into the bubble, and the ability to detonate enemies who step into the bubble.

It also lasts quite a long time and the recharge time is super fast.

I haven't used the Batarian Soldier yet, just have the Sentinel. Nevest was using him earlier, he seems pretty good. Blade Armor is awesome, especially if you spec it to reflect 150% of melee damage dealt to you back to enemies. Watching Phantoms bounce off of you and lose tons of health is great. I have no idea what Ballistic Blades do, and Inferno Grenades seem handy.

Plus he has the FALCON PAWNCH.

Having it take a certain amount of damage before dissipation wouldn't make it broken. That's how the old tech armor used to work.

Dropping it while doing an upload wave is very useful.

The old tech armor was broken and made Insanity a complete cakewalk in ME2.

I feel like it'd be hard to strike a balance between it surviving enough fire to be useful and it lasting so long that it's broken. The way it is now makes sense because it gives you a flat damage reduction from all sources and prevents camping. If it worked like the old tech armor they'd have to drastically increase the recharge time, too. Right now mine recharges in a little over a second.

Insanity wasn't that difficult anyway.

Charge, Barrier, Carnage, Battlemaster, Rage. I'm only level 10 since I just promoted a Vanguard, but even now he's really strong. It's a vanguard pumped to 11 thanks to the Krogan's beefy defenses and great melee. Plus barrier gives you what is pretty much a shockwave that lifts unshielded/armored enemies (i think).

And then Charge gives you shields back. My god. If you level it correctly that beast could be almost unstoppable.

Yeah I was just about to ask if any of you have a geth unit. I wanna know what they're like. Specifically the Infiltrator. Quarian Infiltrator has been my favorite, and I don't see the geth actually being better, but I'd still like to know how they compare.

Batarian Sentinel is the same way. Blade Armor is a very melee oriented version of Tech Armor. Looks awesome, too. It's fun to nail Phantoms, Centurions, and Nemesis' with Submission Net and then FALCON PAWNCH them. It's a one-shot kill, at least on Bronze.

I don't have a Geth yet but I know Hunter Mode seems insanely good. Increased speed and attack when you activate it, and you can see through walls and smoke. You can even see cloaked enemies. It does reduce your shields by 50% though.

Someone on the ME3 boards was saying that with Hunter Mode activated and Cloak on, and the Harpoon Gun at LV10, they were able to one shot banshees and brutes on Silver with headshots. If that's true...wow.

The heavy melee is slow, but usually the enemies will try to melee you and with blade armor they'll take like half damage and then the punch will just knock them out. Also it has like omnitool chainsaws or something

I don't know, the Harpoon Gun is beastly. Add to that the damage boost from Cloak and Hunter Mode and it might be possible.

Batarian soldier is a beast. I've got the Striker Assault Rifle up to 9 atm, and with his damage boost + bonus ammo, I just walk around the map blowing everything up. The blades are awesome. The bladed armor is pretty great too. I had a brute at a little under half health punch me earlier and just fall down dead from the armor (spec for 150% melee damage return) and all it did was take my shields down to 25%.

Batarian Sentinel....I feel like shockwave was wrong for him for some reason. I love the net though.

Geth Engineer. I spec the turret for shield boost and it was great having it around, especially w/ hunter mode on. I've pretty much decided he's always going to have the GPS equipped since he gets the big damage boost for geth weapons.

Asari Justicar. Love it. I've worked the bubble both ways and if I've got it set for damage, I'll drop it in a chokepoint and then everyone just makes s*** go boom. Set for defense (along with reave set for defense) and it's insane how much damage reduction you get for yourself, while helping your own team out on hack/node objectives.

Don't have the GI yet. =( makes me sad b/c him w/ the GPS is going to be insane. Cloak damage boost, normal weapon damage boost AND geth weapon damage boost on a weapon that I've already got the damage bar going beyond what the graphic in the menu shows you? Yes please..especially with being able to charge the GPS up and THEN cloaking. Letting go of the trigger to fire your charged shot doesn't uncloak you so you can get two quick shots off before losing the cloak bonus.

Striker Assault Rifle: Screw every other assault rifle. ever. Throw a stability mod and a capacity mod on there, and you will destroy.

Geth Plasma SMG: Man...I love this gun on bronze. It's ridonkulous. unfortunately, it feels completely useless on silver and gold (what with armor making it 1 damage).

Harpoon gun. Fun stuff. Huge amount of damage. I'd like to try it with an infiltrator, but I just can't give up the ability to quickscope multiple enemies w/ the black widow. I've found that I enjoy using it on a batarian soldier for the biggest enemies (when I run out of ammo w/ the striker).

Geth heavy melee has you drop down into a shielded position and as long as you hold it it will pulse a melee wave out around you (while dropping a small chunk of your shields). Combined with the geth turret set up for shield recharge, it's fun. I'd like to try it on the infiltrator set up for melee damage + melee damage from cloak and see how it does.

So yeah, had some good teammates for a silver run. They understood that staying in the bubble shield was a good idea. I'd drop one in a good cover position for us all to sit in while we watched the spawn points.

That being said, the Justicar is alright but I get the feeling my teammates were carrying me a bit. Reave is pretty damn great, as it eventually kills all unshielded targets and can tick away at shielded ones.

Pull, I dumped a few token points into for the sake of being able to disarm guardians.

Sometimes you'll actually get lucky when it comes to finding teammates. Especially with Gold. I even got some friend requests because of how effective I was on Gold. And I accepted because they were really good too. A couple of them had mics too, and they weren't annoying. One time they even helped me when I was the only one left alive. They would be my eyes and tell me about which enemies were around that I wasn't seeing and slowly but surely I got through it and defeated the wave (including a few Geth Primes). I felt like such a hero.

So yeah, if you find some great players in Gold missions, make sure to try and befriend them. It's difficult to find people who can actually help you defeat Gold matches.
