I just want to say that I'm very happy I have been performing instead of having to watch this team disgrace themselves. Each and every single one of them should be utterly ashamed of the past two gutless displays. I single out Marc Andre Fleury a tad, but literally every single one of them needs to examine what it means to wear that shirt and think about whether they deserve to or not, because after the past two games I can answer the question for them.

I am absolutely disgusted and more embarrassed to be a Penguins fan right now than I was during their awful years. At least they had an excuse. This team doesn't. They are letting Philadelphia want it more in every facet of the game and to me that's utterly putrid. I am sick to my f***ing stomach with the lot of them.

As much fun as it is to make fun of Lou, I don't really have the heart to right now. His whole team is letting him down over and over again.

So I didn't watch any of the games tonight since I was working 3-11, but I can't say I'm mad or even disappointed about how the results came out. As I mentioned earlier, their regular season record had everyone thinking that the Canucks were a team to fear come playoff time, but anyone who actually watched all of their games would know that they were nothing special this entire year. Just an average team that got lucky enough to end the season with the best record, much like the Panthers were a terrible team lucky enough to make the playoffs. Analysts kept talking about how this year's squad wasn't dominating teams and blowing out games like last year's and how they had learned to battle and win close games like it was some sort of improvement... the fact is that they're not good enough to dominate games because they can't manage to play a solid 60 minutes like they did for all of last season.

If any of you remember, I was literally guaranteeing a Canucks cup win last year from BEFORE the playoffs even started. I turned out to be wrong, but I'm not sure anyone could have predicted what happened in that final series with Boston. Regardless, I expected nothing from them this year, and I'm not sure how anyone could be surprised with these results if they were paying attention this season.

Anyways, **** yeah Flyers. Now THAT is a team you can be proud of.

I guess they're 2-26 all-time now (forgot Vancouver went up 2-0 too!)... anything can happen!

If either Vancouver or Pittsburgh gets out of the first round, they'll be my pick to win the Cup for sure. Overcoming dat first round adversity...

Pens went down 2-0 twice in their cup run - against Washington and against Detroit.

I'm saying the series has always been a toss-up and I'm not confident that Vancouver is a "better" team than any of the others in the West. I won't be surprised if they lose the series (although a sweep would be interesting), and I won't be surprised if they come back and win it. If they can play a good 60 minutes there are few teams I would put over them, but they've shown that they're incapable of doing that this season, so I'm not sure why I should expect them to turn it on in the playoffs.

Well, yeah, I'd say that on paper the Kings are just as talented and as good as anybody in the West, Vancouver included. The main advantage I give Vancouver, as strange as this may sound, is an edge in mental toughness. Vancouver has been there before, and expects to be there again. Meanwhile, this Kings team has virtually never come through a difficult situation, and I think some of the well established teams in the west (mainly Vancouver, San Jose, and Detroit) are quite literally "in their heads."

I actually had a long rant on this prepared during Game 1, but ended up not posting it because, well, the Kings won. If they lose the series, I'll probably post it. if they WIN the series, I honestly believe it would be SUCH a huge boon for them psychologically that they could make a serious run and be legit contenders to win the West. They may very well be the most talented 8-seed we've ever seen when you just look at the team they have on paper.

I would say they're too intense, and about all the wrong things. The Kings provoke them just a little bit and all their discipline goes out the window.
