From: Forceful_Dragon | #048 Okay so there is pretty much no where else to go from here, right? I could be mistaken but this seems like it should be the final any% breaking...
I'm sure there's a way to warp to the endgame from the opening cutscene. Give them time to figure it out.
As someone who runs MST (very poorly) I can only think of two really huge improvements on this route, barring a new trick. At least, assuming I understand Wrong Warp correctly (which is a bit of a stretch)
A "better" wrong warp, so you go from Deku to Credits, like in Ganonless, or perhaps just further into the Tower Escape.
Or some way to avoid having to leave Forest for the bottle. However, I'm guessing that's not likely to happen. The bottle is needed for Ocarina Items, and I guess the Wrong Warp doesn't work with the actual ocarina... because otherwise I'd think it's faster to just get the ocarina and turn right around.
But, I'm really bad at OoT speedrunning, and I've always ignored any% mainly because I don't like RBA, so I could be totally wrong here. Although with this route, RBA is now eliminated, so maybe I'll give it a shot or two at some point.

From: ShadowHalo17 | #041 How do people even figure this kind of stuff out? It's crazy.
Usually when people find a glitch, more people try to find a better way of doing it. Once Gannonless was found I imagine many people tried all sorts of things to find a better warp point. It'll probably continue on like this until the optimal warp point is found. If this isn't already the optimal one.
Cosmo is saying that after checking the recording, it was 22:54. I suspect ZFG was like 23:05, but I'm not sure. I was watching Cosmo exclusively once the Ganon fight started, so I didn't see when ZFG stopped the split timer, but both of them said they'd stop the race timer before the split timer, so I think it's reasonable that ZFG's split time (23:06) is a second or two late.

The crazy thing about this to me is like, not only can you beat Ocarina of Time in 23 minutes, but it's not even like a TAS thing. It's not even that hard. It's completely within human ability to do it.
Yeah, just learned the tricks for the route and completed any% (didn't time it though because again, had to learn all the tricks, plus I'm really bad.)
It's actually a really easy route to learn IMO. I messed up the wrong warp once, but that's because I must have done the set-up wrong and I knew it didn't look right, but I went for it like an idiot anyway.
Tower Escape is frightening though! Who knew OoT could be such a scary game! I actually lost to the Stalfos once! >_>

Yeah, the amount of threats in there is pretty funny.
The flaming rocks on the ground burn your Deku Shield (making everything insanely difficult) plus there's a chance the game will freeze if your shield burns there because apparently the game doesn't know how to handle that all the time. Stalfos do 1 heart damage with a normal attack, and 2 with a jumpslash. There's also the falling rocks that do a half heart, but they're not too bad. And of course Ganon can one shot you if you mess up since he hits for 4 hearts. Not to mention the ring of fire also can burn your shield. >_>
