It'd be cool if you gave themes to the districts. Like the districts in the books have different responsibilities/environments/etc.

That way we're not just signing up for a number, we actually sign up for what type of community we'd prefer.

We are the hardworking coal miners of District 5. We work our bodies to the physical limit trying to provide for our families. The young in our district are in far superior shape to you pansy asses in the cities.

We know about community values. We care for one another, feed one another, drink with one another. We work tirelessly to distill enough moonshine to keep our own livers satiated, then we go make some more for you all to enjoy.

We know how s*** works. I'd like to see someone in District 1 even change a flat tire. Heaven forbid you get your man-dress a little dirty.

You know what happens when we win this year? We keep our moonshine. We won't need your blood money any more. We'll see how glamorous that life is when you don't have the liquor aflowing like you're used to.

District 3 is plain, average, has no drive. They will never be anything more or less that what they are. Districts 4 and 5 are poor and are made up of simple folk who are happy to toil away in their dirt patches or factories, thinking only about where their next meal or bottle of booze will come from.

Oh. But District 2. We are the creators. The architects. The engineers. We are the strongest, the smartest, the fastest, the best of all the Districts combined into one. What we lack in overt luxury we gain in skill and cunning. What we lack in brute strength we gain in proper nourishment. We have drive. We have passion.

We of District 4 are not struggling as much as 5 but we still work hard to try and make a better life for ourselves. The people of District 5 drown their sorrows in moonshine and don't receive the nourishment they truly need, those of District 3 don't work as hard as those of our District, those of 2 don't really work unless they want a little extra making them barely a threat, and those off District 1 are spoiled brats who have never had to work a single day in their lives making them no competition. We of District 4 shall be the victors and THE ODDS WILL BE IN OUR FAVOR!!!!!!!!

It is only appropriate that I, the first of District 1, speak on our behalf. After all, the other districts have spoken for themselves, but it saddens me to hear of the false picture they have painted of us. We understand that their own hard life has made them jealous, but to go so far as to say blatant lies...

Imagine, if you will, being born in our world. A world where, while bearing the burden expected of our birth, we are beset by betrayal from our own brothers. A world where a single mistake and miscalculation means your death, a world where the word greatest is of utmost importance, and a world where you need strength of body, strength of mind, and strength of heart to live life on your own terms.

This is the world of District 1. This is the world of the rich. We are not the fat pigs you assume us to be, begging our mother and father for everything we want and without sacrifice, gain it. We EARN everything we own, from our own hard work. After all, there is no sweeter reward than those won through one's own sweat and blood. We fought for it, we planned for it, and through it all, we did not lose our integrity for it!

How would the competitors from the other districts fare in our world? District 5ers will be torn to shreds, expecting everyone to help out of the goodness of their hearts and that their physical strength is all that they need. District 4ers will be trampled upon by the uncaring masses, expecting others to take pity upon them. District 3ers simply does not have the talent necessary to survive the cutthroat environment that we live in. As for the people of District 2?

Where the strongest of them break and curse their own weakness, we carry on and win. Where the smartest of them give up and despair at the limits of their intellect, we persevere and succeed. Where the most righteous of them compromise and loathe themselves for it, we emerge triumphant and unblemished. We are tougher than the toughies, sharper than the sharpies, and WE. DID IT. SQUARE!

Who are we, you ask? We are the heroes among you. We are the leaders among you. We are the best among you. WE ARE DISTRICT 1'S ELITE!

Unlike our fellow competitors, we have been prepared for this since the day we were born, as masterplum can attest. We are trained in all forms of martial arts, the arts of survival on the field of battle, and knowledge on various studies, all to ensure our victory. To that end, we have researched our foes' background thoroughly, and we do not assume, in naivety, that our enemies are unprepared fools. We are more than ready to survive. We. Will. Win.
