Cool. Been watching Abis Mal episodes of Aladdin. Most recurring villain, so I saved him for last to do for the series.

Got the movies, gonna watch Hunchback 2 first and soon.

I mean it's nowhere near as good as the first or anything but I don't see any reason to loathe it more than any other direct to video sequel. The animation is pretty bad but that's to be expected, and I didn't like the portrayals of Phoebus and Esmeralda (especially the latter) much but other than that it seems serviceable.

Dammit char. The fact that it only exists to give Quasimodo a happier ending which loses the entire point of not doing so in the first film should be enough to earn your ire. And if not that wasn't enough, the excessively cheap artstyle, the botching of previously established characters (seriously they made Esmeralda more of a b**** than Dad Simba), adding a forgettable villain, and forgetting most of the themes they established in the first film should cement it as the worst of the worst!

Seriously I can't remember anything about that villain except that he was a gypsy and that his plot... involved... a mote or something. Seriously, try to recall the villain of this movie one year from now.

I can at least remember Zira, "Ursula's crazy sister", the leader of the junkyard dogs, the band of forty thieves and Aladdin's father, Ronno...

I can't even remember what "that guy" looks like beyond having dark skin.

The villain was actually rather successful, as far as sequel villains go at least. Then again, he's a narcissist in a way much like Gaston so you may not have liked him for that.

But yeah, I know the film exists to give Quasimodo his happy ending. I mean, one could imagine even without the sequel that some day he'd find happiness in someone though. While it was unique that the protagonist didn't get the girl for once, I still believed that eventually Quasimodo would find someone to love him. Maybe we didn't necessarily need to see it, but Quasimodo was fine in this movie to me. They did ruin the formerly mentioned couple quite a bit and the animation was clearly Saturday morning cartoon fare, but overall it told a fairly decent story about love and had a villain who wasn't as bad as I've always seen him made out to be (I've seen Sarousch called one of the worst Disney villains ever, and there's no way that's true).

The music, while obviously not on par with the original, still was fairly decent (I'd rank it not quite as good as Lion King 2 but just about better than any other DVD sequel I think of off the top of my head). They did return the original voice cast as well as get JLH, so what the film lacked in visuals it made up for with good voice actors.

Oh come on, Hunchback 2 was bad. If I recall correctly they even changed the color of Esmeralda's eyes!

They did! They went from pure green in the first movie to aquamarine, teal, and straight blue in some shots in the second movie! I wanted to punch an animator in the eyeball for that one.

Well as I said, I agree the animation is pretty horrendous. For the purposes of my project however, story is first and foremost. It had plenty of shortcomings in that department as well, but overall it isn't necessarily the worst thing I've watched.

For Wednesday: Lilo & Stitch 2 and both Little Mermaid continuations. I also have the Haunted Mansion to watch.

The Little Mermaid: Return to the Sea is hilarious(ly bad). I enjoyed it because I was laughing at how bad it was the endure time. In that way it's kind of like watching the Twilight movies with that funny friend of yours (you know the one). Just wait until they introduce the villain. If you don't burst out into laughter at that point then you've got no sense if humor and you may as well stop watching then.

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning is actually surprisingly wonderful. Don't tell anyone, but other than the soundtrack I might enjoy everything about it more than the original!

And I've never seen either of those other two. Didn't even know there was a Lilo & Stitch 2.

Well yeah, the villain list is intended to be all inclusive. However I probably won't be outright insulting any of the villains, even the bottom 10. Disney is very large and since I am utilizing nearly the entirety of the library all the villains I consider "terrible" will get left off. My running list is already over 100, so the very worst stuff is not making the cut (and I still haven't placed Pixar villains and most animated series in yet).

Not to say that many people won't find many of my selection terrible or respond with "wow, I totally forget ___ existed!" but that's kind of my draw. 100 as a number is one I picked because I figured it would be enough to include offbeat and niche stuff as well as give everyone the chance to see me talk about their favorite villain, no matter how weird their taste is!

So I'm about to watch Eddie Murphy. I've only ever seen parts of this, but I was visiting my mom's today and remember she actually owns this movie. I also read that they were going to do a reboot for Haunted Mansion with a more serious edge with del Toro writing and producing it, shooting for PG-13.

And L&S actually has 2 sequels, part 2 as well as Leroy & Stitch (which is actually on Youtube if any are interested, after I watch the first sequel tomorrow). I haven't seen any of the movies I am watching yet, though I have heard many bad things about the sequel to Little Mermaid, especially in regards to the villain.

Yeah, that was the most ridiculously awful entrance I've seen out of Disney. Came out of nowhere and Sebastian's line... lulz, right.

All in all it wasn't unenjoyable, though there were cringe worthy moments here and there. The Part of Your World cover for the end credits was very nice though, I stuck around for that. Others later.

Good. The replacement disc worked fine and Kronk's New Groove was pretty good (you'd like it, Kuzco only cameos and talks about the movie while breaking the fourth wall a few times). I got Milo's Return today but I'm not gonna watch it until tomorrow because I have to be in to work early in the morning and I just got home.

Pixar stuff will begin very soon.

It was pretty good, especially for a direct to DVD film. It was kind of hard to see Triton that way, very sad stuff. I also liked it as a prequel because unlike a lot of prequels it didn't try to present a deathly serious story arc that is basically ignored by the original film. Was a clever conflict to introduce in my opinion.

I really didn't like Benjamin though, like at all. Very annoying.

Mulan 2 might arrive Tuesday. The only sequels I have left from the main Disney arc are that, King of Thieves and Pocahontas 2. All 3 are apparently in limited supply so they keep not sending them. Mulan 2's status was upgraded from the long wait time today however.

I'll be watching all the Pixar stuff after those, or sooner if they fail to send them. Have any of those and want to watch them?

I've misplaced my copies of Finding Nemo and Monster's Inc and I've kinda watch WALL-E fairly recently. Those are the only ones I own. Bleh, I really should get the TS series. Or at least the best one, TS3.

It kind of boggles my mind they went with the "real life" stuff with introducing John Rolfe, given how untrue the rest of Disney's version of Pocahontas really is. I didn't really dislike Rolfe or anything, but it seemed a little bit weird they would do that with John Smith.

Then again, their relationship in the first movie was sort of the same way. Just sort of happened real quick and out of the blue.
