Bring on MGS or Team Ico denizens, and we'll see, since those are the only two "PlayStation" series I'm really all that interested in as of now. Also, this looked far more Brawl than Melee, and since I liked Melee way more than Brawl that's not exactly a good sign. And the stages look pretty lame in design, too, although their backgrounds are the stuff of awesomeness. That's it: Desert Battlefield stage based on MGS4 with Colossi occasionally showing up. Its presumably made to account for the most popular and credited game throughout the various playstation systems, its totally irrelevant if those games happened to be sold or popular elsewhere. There were more multi platform characters in that "Michael" advert than there were exclusive ones for example, I doubt Sony have a problem linking them with their brand. I'd find it hard to come up with reasons as to why anyone other than Cloud or Lightning would be picked for this if they're going down the route of a sole representative. FFX HD is a remake, the caliber of the original speaks for itself. What Square want, I have no idea.They may wish to include Lightning as a marketing gesture to two current production games on the PS3, they may wish to include nobody and hold their IPs for their own products. I'd find it hard to come up with reasons as to why anyone other than Cloud or Lightning would be picked for this if they're going down the route of a sole representative. FFX HD is a remake, the caliber of the original speaks for itself. It doesn't need that kind of marketing, I'd expect there's more benefit flogging Lightning to convince people about two so-so games than there is Tidus for a masterpiece mostly aimed at re-players if they're going down that route.Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Sony publish Final Fantasy VII? -- Currently Playing - StarCraft: Brood War </quote> ...
