I'm gonna say no. "Peacetime" is a reference to a contest's main draw currently not ongoing, so... I'm not sure. Not really sure why he'd specify no round tomorrow when we've had no round in a week now.

I only half way did before it got sort of annoying to follow. From what I remember of it, Peacetime was when there weren't any battles and people were free to buy things or whatever it was they did.

the joke here stems from when hiatuses like this occurred in mercs, due to rulings or admin laziness or whatever, and people got antsy that they didn't know when to expect peace (which was pretty time important, due to bidding on new mercs - you needed to know when to expect it)

so they would post "peace tomorrow" to signify the game is back on, and its starting the next day (to give people time to see it)

the reason he said 'peacetime' was because peacetime was the unsure phase - it depended upon things getting done, which was always a '???' prospect in mercs. peacetime tomorrow meant we could expect the game to finally continue

The save prompting rule never really explicitly defined the 'round up' grey area and I think that though it was implied, it wasn't outright stated. Plus the fact that voltch had asked for people to tell him the round was up in the first place diminishes his claim. I've had independent verification of lefty who enjoys towing the line as best possible, but beyond voltch nothing for War.

In hindsight the prompting rule was never going to be much more than a retaliatory method, at which point I'm relying on the word of already banned users to make further judgments. Which is what was taken advantage of here, obviously, but hey it was all in good fun so now we can make the push to the end.

Not only is the "round up isn't prompting" excuse complete and utterly wrong, but lefty was doing mid/end-round prompts as well so there's literally no excuse at all for him.

War getting off absolutely scott free is also a bad call. Prompting was added to the rules, and "round is up" is definitely bordering that - you're telling someone they can vote, thus bringing in a vote that possibly wouldn't happen without your involvement. You're not supposed to bring saves in, this is the exact argument that put the "no prompting" rule up to begin with when Inviso did it. I can understand saying that "oh but it wasn't clarified completely", and thus giving a lighter punishment, but not giving any punishment at all for breaking a rule just isn't right. Hell, I don't even care if it's just a 1 round ban, as long as it's something to acknowledge that he did in fact bend the rules.

Especially when you said "I'm going to be more willy nilly with bans", this just doesn't sit right.
