I thought something was wrong with my laptop. Turns out DirectX 10 isn't just bad for Arkham City, but also for Bioshock and I assume Diablo 3 since I had the same problem as I did with Bioshock. I couldn't even play Diablo 3 because after 5 minutes the colors would go all wonky.
