I know moving it while it's on is a no-no, but what about putting it in a suitcase?

I wouldn't risk it. Discs can fall out of the tray and get lodged in the interior of the box.

Destroyed my disc tray when I did. Permanently off-balance, trouble opening/closing. Try it at your own risk.

I might pick it up and carry it to another room, but I wouldn't risk a suitcase. If you don't have room for the game's own case, just get a clamshell CD case:

Just put something in with the disc to keep it in place, like a slice of cheese.

Nevermind what I said, this sounds like a better idea.

One slice of cheese might not do the trick though. Better put some bacon strips too, just to make sure it's packed in securely.

I've... never taken the disc out when transporting it.

And I haven't had any problems.

360 is such a joke in terms of hardware design.

Don't do it with a disk in it, especially if it's Tales of Vesperia.

Leaving a disk in a 360 is dangerous even when the console is standing still.

So wouldn't do it.

It was Tales of Vesperia.

I took it out.

I assume this isn't an issue with PS3 and Wii because of feed drives.

I don't move any of my systems if there's a disk inside, just force of habit, I guess. But the 360 is a definite no-go for that.

Not when you have a tray glitch like me, When the tray wont open unless there's a disc inside.

360 is definitely the worst designed console this gen.

Don't do it. I messed up my Gears 3 disc pretty bad. Luckily it was still playable after getting it buffed.

It's also not an issue with PS1, Dreamcast, Gamecube, or PS2 Slim because of those snap-on hubs. Disc trays, my god. Who saw all the alternatives, and saw those, and then said "Yeah let's go with that one"?
