I was gonna suggest Irresponsible Captain Tylor partially because I suggest that every time I get the chance and partially because the series is basically about trying to understand the main character's philosophy, but it's a pretty relaxed series so it's probably not what you're looking for.

The stuff dealing with the thought elevator.

Suzaku and Lelouch going near insane and how they deal with it.

Lelouch constantly struggling with what he should do.

I forget the exact lines, but when they're in the truck Lelouch mentions to CC something along the lines of the one girl not liking deep thought.



These are just a few of the examples, yes it deals a lot with Strategy, Mechs, Ruling Empires and Rebels, (among other things, along with a few things that are pretty crazy but even some of that stuff could be argued to be philosophical), but it definitely has it's philosophical elements.

Another thing is that Philosophy is really a very broad term, but it has what people generally consider to be philosophical elements in there.
