I've been in the market for a tablet lately and I'm pretty sure I know which one I want, but I'm not sure if I should wait a few months for an even better one. Tough decisions are in my future.

As far as phones go, I only use mine to text if I can help it and I don't have a cool one so I'm not really all that familiar with apps and all that jazz. But that's not what my question is about!

Just for reference, here's what I'm looking at:
http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-TF300-T-B1-BL-10-1-Inch-Tablet/dp/B007P4YAPK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336099247&sr=8-1

Supposedly, there's a higher-end model coming in June or so with a quad-core 1.6ghz Tegra 3 processor and 1920x1200 display with a few other minor selling points for me.

The 1920x1200 display sounds pretty sweet. The best I have right now is 1280x800 on my laptop (same as the other tablet I can get now).

THE QUESTION:
If I am watching a dvd I ripped on a 1920x1200 display, will it look worse full screen than it will on a 1280x800 display?

I'm ripping movies now and I don't want them to look like garbage because the resolution is too high. I don't know if that's how it works.

Higher resolution sounds better and it would surely look better for streaming Netflix. I just saw that the Asus TF300 is 20 bucks off right now on Amazon and that's prompting me to be a bit hasty.

A higher resolution display won't have any negative effects on DVD watching or anything like that. I don't have a tablet but I watch stuff on a 1080p monitor a lot.

Thank you. I just figured since the video has a native resolution much smaller than the display, when expanded to more closely fit the display, its clarity would decrease.
