Well, the other three party members basically do nothing except attack, so a cleric's buffs would add to all three of us. Is that more valuable than a paladin's superior damage? Also: are you sure you want to give up the gunslinging bard fox girl?

Paladins are passive buffers. Actually, they tend to work out to better buffing than Clerics, even with that annoying aura combo I got via domains, since those run out. So no, it's not more valuable than a paladin's superior damage, since it's not actually superior to what Paladin's do anyway, really. Though the really amazing Paladin Auras don't come in until double digits, but eh. The Cleric Auras aren't far from double digits either. Also, Paladins are secretly (... not really) walls. See the 24 AC and every save over 5. There's also the fact that the Paladin can cure fatigue, if I decide to just wait a level on Spirited Charge. Still thinking about that.

But clerics ultimately get better buffs, right? Even if paladins get passive buffs?
