I am going to put some sort of comic reader on there first. Not sure if I can just put CDisplay or if I have to get some special one. All I want is one that lets me use pretty much any cbr/cbz file.
Perfect Viewer is my comic reader of choice. Nice bookshelf setup and lots of customisable viewing options.
Google Play is showing the Shining Force thing as being incompatible with my Prime, but it says that about everything with Japanese text. I think it's some sort of region lock- you won't be able to buy it from the market, but if you can get the apk from somewhere else it might run anyway. No guarantees though.
Music wise- I haven't used it myself, but according to a review on The Register there's something called N7 Player that's very good. I just like it because of the name.

I haven't got this, but I got an Asus Eee-pad Transformer earlier in the year. Waste of money. Bought it for drawing, mostly, but the best art program on Android is like Paint compared to Photoshop.

I got an Asus Eee-Slate EP121 six months ago and then promptly didn't use it nearly as often as I thought I would. Maybe when I get a job and actually take bus rides longer than ten minutes, but right now literally any situation where I need a computer, my desktop is more convenient.
Android apps are distributed as .apk files. If you download from Google Play, it installs automatically, but they can also be installed manually if you download the file and run it on-device. A lot of beta releases of projects like ScummVM are distributed this way rather than on the market.
In this case, however, a bit of research on a Shining Force fan forum suggests that the app in question has some internal DRM that requires a Japanese locale and/or online authentication, so it will run but not let you play. And Sega have no plans to localise it. Shame.

In my time, I have played Shining Force in the following versions: Original US version (Genesis) Original Japanese version (Genesis) Smash Pack (PC) Resurrection of the Dark Dragon (GBA) Sonic's Ultimate Collection (PS3)
Not to mention the many sequels and such.
The only version of the first one I haven't played is the Chronicle version (originally a Japanese only cell phone game).

Short answer: no Long answer: Yup. You can download the apk, decompile it into Java source code, remove the DRM parts, then recompile it. ...Unless the code is obfuscated to prevent decompilation, or the DRM isn't simple to remove.

Alright I have COMPLETELY LEGALLY obtained the apk from the market. Message me on AIM, because you might as well just try to install it and see if it runs before I try to hack it.
