I just recently tried to use the technic pack. Doesn't work for whatever reason. Just saves chunks, then whitescreens.

I've played quite a bit of vanilla minecraft, thought it'd be fun. But no V_V. Pity we never really got a proper multiplayer server going for b8.

I'd play on one, but I have no idea where to get server space. I can't really have my pc up constantly.

I watched simon and lewis play it some. it...does have a few neat things done for console, but it is such an outdated version of minecraft, it is just lulz. Granted, not every change was for the better, but the differences are easily noticed.

Mods pretty much make the PC version what it is, because vanilla minecraft just gets...old after a short while.

A lot of people say that, well I mean I say it better and don't use the word "lulz". But as someone who doesn't know any better, has never seen Minecraft recently, XBLA version looks like it has quite a lot of stuff in it.

To be fair, the Xbox version probably has a lot more features then when people first started playing Minecraft PC when it was in its alpha, and people got addicted to it even then.


But I don't know how much stuff from Minecraft PC the xbox version is missing, but after you spend an ungodly amount of hours playing it, you'll get bored, while there are a plethora of very well designed mods for the PC that keep things interesting.


For example, I've been playing the Industrial Craft mod with a friend which introduces electricity to the game. You build various kinds of generators that create electricity and you use wiring and transformers to transport this power to machines that do stuff for you, such as the Macerator which converts 1 ore into 2 dust, and each dust makes an ingot. So you get twice as many ingots for your ore by using power. It's all very interesting and adds quite a lot to the game.

the worst thing about the 360 version is the world size. it's so small.

All kinds of things that that you can do on the computer version, but can't in this because it is both an older version and on a console.


As for what coolcly was saying about industrialcraft, that mod is included in the technic pack which is 10 kinds of awesome in so very many ways. Nuclear reactors, wizard stuff, and all kinds of things.

If you say so. I've been too busy climbing mountains and building bridges, I haven't really explored to the edge of the world or dug deep down.

the world is as large as the map you start with. not sure how deep the world is, but it's not as deep as the pc version.
