Dammit I can't believe I hadn't seen this earlier, it was great. Not everything quite made sense, but it was still great. Except for Alien: Resurrection, which everyone seems to agree wasn't his fault, I can't think of anything Joss Whedon's disappointed on.

TEQUILA IS MY LADY!

How'd you in enjoy the movie? What things do you still have questions about? I've been four times and my friends and I were still pointing out new things to each other. And how was the audience? Was there a level of comfort where laughing throughout was allowed or was it quiet throughout?

The audience was almost complete dead silent throughout the movie, sadly, so I felt like a jerk whenever I laughed. The only laughter from the others came at parts like the unicorn. As for questions, I wouldn't have minded a bit more clarification on the rituals throughout the rest of the world, but whatever, it was still good. I enjoyed it very much and would recommend it to anyone.

Damn, that's a shame.

Four times going:

#1. First night, tons of energy in audience, lots of laughter. Probably about 80-100 people.
#2. Next afternoon, dead silent, about twenty people.
#3. Week later, night, decent amount of people, some good laughs had by all
#4. Last night at our theater, eight people total, comfortable enough to talk through the movie and react audibly. Was hilarious. There was one couple where the girl was just absolutely terrified and shocked, and one friend kept saying "What the s***?!" throughout the last third. Best times ever.

The movie is much, much better with a crowd, or at least one that is free to laugh. Crowds that are tense and waiting and expecting the big scares are not fun. And I usually haaaaate when people talk during a movie, but Cabin's one of the few I recommend it for. It's a great respond and react movie.

I agree on the rituals. I want to know what Argentine horror films are like from that sasquatch looking thing.

I agree Cabin in the Woods is a lot better with a reactive audience. Not too many non-comedy movies I would recommend that sort of thing for. Of course, CitW was kind of a horror/comedy so that's moot I guess.
