Also I suck at this game, possibly more than my ten year old self did. 21 deaths so far, beat the first five dungeons. I imagine the wizzrobes are going to be hell, because I clearly remember hating those, while I completely forgot about blue darknuts.
I just did a three heart run of both Oracles, and the only bosses that managed to kill me were the final bosses and Manhandla (because the Magic Boomerang is the worst thing ever)
when I play Seasons it makes me wonder why Seasons is so awful... and why they decided to reuse so many bosses from Zelda 1

Manhandla probably hit me once or twice the entire fight.
And I use the magic boomerang a lot, its about the only thing I actually take the Roc Feather/Cape off for.
The Feather/Cape in the GB Zelda games are in my offhand slot 95% of the time, and if I need to change items I will take the SWORD off to use them most of the time, not the feather. The more time the feather spends in my A spot, the better. Sometimes I'll take it off to fling the Boomerang out in normal rooms to pick off or stun far away guys so they won't interfere, though.

Ages is so much easier, the system is far more manipulatible than Seasons and is much simpler.
The items are weaker, even though its dungeons start off ahead. Magic Boomerang and Roc's Cape > Any of the crap in Ages. The Magnetic gloves are also far more interesting than their Dungeon 5 counterpart.... Which literally does nothing but create a single block.
The subbosses, bosses, and actually reaching the dungeons, are all easier. Dungeon 6 is the only one that requires a lot of effort. The final boss in Ages puts up no fight whatsoever. There are *subbosses* in Seasons who are tougher than she is.
The Blue Ring is basically a freebie whereas getting the Red Ring is absurd.
The Heart Ring L-2 is so broken its laughable. Especially when its one of the first rings you ever get (Which is what happened).
The Secrets system is a bit annoying but doable (albeit unnecessary). I found everything in both games without need of a guide though, though Gasha nut heart pieces were an amazingly bad idea.
When you play Seasons it makes you wonder why Ages is just so damn weak. Its quality and difficulty are both lesser, though Seasons makes finding everything much harder (The red ring is unreasonably tough to get on your own, though given how strong it is...).
