It's not a strong community, because a lot of the people who would like BlazBlue prefer Guilty Gear, and Guilty Gear can actually outdraw BlazBlue at some tournaments, but it's still probably a stronger community than most non-Capcom fighting games can claim to have in America. To be honest, nothing I've seen from Persona 4 has me excited.
