Just as your exiting Mt. Moon, you notice something shinny in the walls. It's getting late and you don't want to have to spend the night in the cave. *Note only works if you choice to travel with the Geodude trainer.

A. Work on digging it out and sleep in the cave anyway.
B. Quickly try to force it out and hurry out of the cave before it gets too dark.
C. Ask your traveling companion to dig it out while you set up camp.
D. Forget about, bid farewell to your companion, set up camp and get a good nights sleep.

For 4, I interpreted it as us coming up with an idea for plum to use later on. Not something for us to do today.

- pitfalls, costing you 1 action next day (lured by a shiny light in the grass in the action)
- swarm of beedrills (perhaps a bit late for that)

"Lost actions"
Make a really poor/unlucky decision, forcing us to lose a choice or two the next day. Like falling in a pit, or getting distracted by something shiny and getting a foot snagged and stuck in a tree.

Well way back near the start of the first season there was a trainer school (Episode Title: 'The School of Hard Knocks' as I recall) that was basically taking you through your paces as a trainer, testing your knowledge of when pokemon learn moves, type advantages etc, and supposedly those that make it through are counted as having the equivalent number of badges that they had made it to (I think the rich ***** of the school was at 3?). They had practical application courses as well apparently, and even taught pokemon how to resist their weaknesses pretty well if I remember it right. Note that they also did combine physical training with it for their hazings at least.

In a later part of the season there was a super quiz for people with no time (Perhaps an option for someone who has missed more than 10 days or something crazy?) that allowed you to get this super badge to qualify for the battle tourney at the Indigo Plateau, but it was absurdly hard and only held once a year, included in it were both a rigged tier popquiz and a battle tournament (3 v 3 using rented pokemon only). The only person I can really recall passing it was a Nurse Joy.
