Xuxon posted... You don't think Skellington would be too?
While he did have a great run ONCE... all those people who helped him are either gone or very unreliable (Dra90n, F_D, todbot). Some rounds, I didn't even have to worry about Skellington. Other rounds, he was weak as hell because those people just won't show up regularly. In the end, Aladdin was stronger looking this contest.
I will continue to support Sparrow and Skellington because they are always going to be two of my favorites (Sparrow is probably my favorite character ever, period). I won't rest until he wins this, these finishes aren't "good enough" to satisfy.

Literally 95th percentile. >=(
You wanna know Scar's percentile? It's poop! And Frollo's? Even poopier!
But hey, you help one of these devilish chaps win and I promise Sparrow will get a top 5 spot in my priority list. If both fall, I'll make him a top ten. How's that for incentive? :D
Ah, next year... I really want to make Dodger my number one next year to try and actually give him a deep run in a contest, but I'd need a lot of help to do that... especially with the fact that he gets pretty much no outside support. And I really need to avenge Simba's craptastic finish this year. Outside of that, I don't know. Might make Jack my 3rd though.
But that would involve not supporting ~*~Year of the Villains 2012~*~ and frankly, that is an awful decision. Besides, you can't offer that deal to EVERYONE!

It's limited to one person, yes. But what a deal! With my full support your character is guaranteed to go deep next year.
That could be fun. I think regardless of how Pooh does here he won't be able to do better, so I probably won't make him my #1 priority next time. Who knows, though, I'm extremely fickle.

Hey, that was my sole motivation for supporting Scar in my #1 spot this year!
Quick background:
It was the bottom of the ninth and the bases were all loaded. Scar was unsafe. Kiera Knightley in a corset was unsafe. Somebody who was utterly screwed every which way and had no chance of making it out alive was unsafe. In comes Naomi. I'm begging for a Scar vote. charon is begging for a Kiera Knightley in a corset vote. Naomi for SOME reason thinks Scar is safe and that Hades is not, and votes Kiera Knightley in a corset, killing Scar in a pathetic 31st place. And does Kiera Knightley in a corset gain a following after this event? NO. She f***ing repays Scar's sacrifice by dying in the very next round! I was so pissed I refused to save her at all this year because of it. Also charon and I did not start on the kindest of terms because of that event.
Most of my anger for his elmination (and Dodger's as well) is just the circumstances. Dodger went out in a round where I had to give a presentation for a class, which in total lasted about three hours. I was able to save him once, but missed the majority of the round so I couldn't trade for him. Simba's elimination took place in the middle of a f***ing final, so I had no way to be there that entire round. So I didn't get the nice Mufasa feeling of "at least I did everything I could" they just went out pathetically early because I couldn't be there. That's the main reason I'd need help, as Simba MIGHT be able to survive a round that I miss, but Dodger would have no shot.
Honestly there are several characters I want to give deeper runs to. Barbossa, Kaa, maybe Quasi or Tarzan. Will probably could have done better if circumstances had worked out better. But unfortunately for any of these characters, I'm not abandoning my higher favorites for them. This year Captain Jack struggled so much I had to trade for him once in a TWO saves to be safe round. Just makes helping lesser guys I would like to see do well at least once a bit difficult.
GenesisSaga posted... Who is this "Elizabeth" character you people speak of? I only know of a Kiera Knightley in a corset...
You see... I actually like her because she's a good character, not just because she happens to be Kiera Knightley too (though I think she did a fantastic job with it). Now don't make me start calling Will Orlando Bloom in a vest!

That's just the thing... She's not really a "character" in the first (best) movie. She just is... She gets a lot of development in the second movie, only she turns into a total b**** who betrays Jack and leaves him to die by the Kraken. In the third, she gets positive development, but oh wait, At World's End is an unspeakable horror of abominations and the worst in the series so why watch it? Such a shame...
I'm always willing to help out next year. It's like......I'll have achieved the only thing in the only contest I care about and next year, I'll repay everyone who has been nice enough to help me reach that goal.

Very smart move! Sorry I couldn't be around, an emergency presented itself.

Yeah, but I dunno where junk is.
You are the terror that flaps in the night. You are the Nostradamus that predicts Disney's results.

This will not be forgotten. I will return the favor.

Yikes. Actually, I took the average finish of everyone left when making that list. Should be close to spot on but not exact. It was a "biggest threats to go far list". With that said, I'm glad only 4 made it.
Shout out goes to Brett, kenr, and 521 as well for helping out!
Brett, start the next round... I'm hungry and I can't make breakfasts without fear of missing like twenty minutes of this! That could mean a whole vote!
