I wonder when people will finally appreciate Lebron for how amazing he is. I wonder if it will take Til he's gone for it to happen.

Anyways, some thoughts:

1. David West is Charles Oakley: bad bad men. Everyone is terrified of David West.

2. Wade and Lebron are putting on a clinic. This is going to be fun.

3. Miami has the worst team left in the playoffs. 2 A+ 6 Ds and Fs. They average out to like a C-

4. The Pacers have the 2nd deepest team outside of the Spurs and people need to acknowledge their talent.

Lebron's pretty clearly the best regular season player in basketball. it's that weird vanishing act he does when push comes to shove that stops him from being thought of in that category.

if he has just one excellent postseason -- think Dirk last year -- he instantly vaults to top 10 GOAT status. until then, though, he stays behind Kobe and Duncan.

Realo is 100% accurate here. Wade has been awful all playoffs, Lebron is an insane talent. Sure he doesn't have a ring but the fourth best player on his team right now is who...Haslem? Miller? I don't even know. He literally has two players with any skill on his team right now and they are both guards. He's playing 40 minutes out of position and killing it, and people get surprised when he's a little tired and not playing his best at the end of games.

Take this for what you will, but in Bill Simmons's book, he ranks the best 96 players in history, and he has Elgin Baylor at #14 as the best of all-time with no ring.

Then Malone (#18), Barkley (#19), LeBron (#20), and Stockton (#24) to round out that top 5.

ohh right, Hot Karl is probably the greatest without a ring... Elgin Baylor was crippled for half his career so he is somewhat forgiven.

No, see, the difference between 2004 and 2007 was that the Pistons played the exact type of game they needed to (shut down Kobe, let Shaq get his) whereas in 2007 the Pistons benched Nazr in favor of no-knees Chris Webber when the two biggest things they needed in that series was rebounding and blocks.
